Accessible holidays in the Pyrenees: a welcome designed for all four families of disability

Comfort, independence and dignity in the Lys valley. We are working towards the French state label Tourisme & Handicap for mobility, hearing, visual and cognitive disabilities.

In short

  • A fully adapted ground-floor apartment, designed for all four families of disability.
  • All public services are step-free on the ground floor.
  • Accessible parking spaces and a tactile guide strip from the car park to the entrance.
  • Guide and assistance dogs welcome everywhere, free of charge.
  • Booking by email and contact form.
  • Easy-to-read and large-print welcome documents.

An inclusive booking system

Our booking system was custom-built for all four families of disability. An optional special-needs form is offered when you book, so that we can prepare your arrival and your apartment. This information is treated as health data: explicit consent, used only to organise your stay, never shared with third parties.

Depending on your situation

  • There is no lift: all public services and the adapted apartment are on the ground floor.

Visual

  • Large, high-contrast signage.
  • Large-print welcome documents, braille on request.

Cognitive, mental health and autism

  • Easy-to-read welcome booklet, with photos of each step of the arrival.
  • Sensory description of each space: noise, light, crowds by time of day.
  • Quiet time slots at the pool and snack bar, a calm-down space.
  • On request: noise-cancelling headphones, visual timer, fidget objects, weighted blanket.
  • Apartment assigned in advance and never changed during the stay; a named stay contact.
  • Any alarm test or evacuation drill is announced the day before.
